I warmly welcome intending pupils of Pacific Schools to our Lagos and Akure campuses. Pacific School is one of Nigeria’s leading secondary schools. The school as it is today, started as Pacific Comprehensive College in October 1994 in Shasha, Akowonjo, lagos State. In 2007, the Pre-School and Primary was established in response to the demand of the college parents and our immediate community.
Pacific Academy, Shagari village, Akure was established in September 2012 as a means of providing increased choices for a world class education in a state where quality education is most cherished.
Today, all three schools operate as one in two campuses, Akure and Lagos, with Pacific Comprehensive College alongside the Pre-School and Primary being in the Lagos campus, while Pacific Academy is in Shagari Village, Akure, Ondo State.
The Pre-School takes care of children from age 18 months to 5 years. While the Primary is from 6 to 11 years. The Secondary School takes care of the Junior Secondary and Senior Secondary from age 11 – 16. At the end of the senior secondary, the students are able to write the SSCE, SAT & TOEFL.
The Sixth Form, like the secondary, is part of both campuses and is from age 16 to 18 and takes care of the Advanced Level leading to the Cambridge A/L examinations, the University Foundation Programme for International degrees and preparation for UTME and Post UTME.
Pacific schools offers world class education using a state of the art facilities in an environment that is serene, efficient and up to date in modern learning facilities.
Our students enjoy the services of professionally qualified teachers and the benefit of modern learning techniques using internet facilities. Our facilities and programs provide a welcoming environment thereby making your stay in Pacific School an enjoyable and memorable experience. Our goal is to continue to produce well rounded students who will be able to compete anywhere in the world. We shall continue to teach good character by modelling and fostering compassion, respect, responsibility and integrity. In addition, our students will be challenged to pursue knowledge, creativity and intellectual self-reliance. They will engage in community development and understanding their rights and responsibilities within a community that is itself part of the larger world.
As director of Pacific Schools, it is my desire to create a school community in which every student can be successful. it is also my goal to positively impact students’ learning b y supporting the officers and staff of the school to deliver on this promise.
Pacific Schools offers a mix of the Nigerian and American curriculum. At the junior secondary level, the curriculum is wholly Nigerian, while the senior secondary level offers a blend of the Nigerian and American curriculum.
In all, Pacific School is a great place for students of all ages (2-18) to learn from Pre-School to sixth form. We support all our students in their learning and provide them with the skills necessary to become successful, creative and fulfilled leaders of society. It is thus my pleasure to invite you to join the Pacific family and experience a world class education in a fun-filled environment.
I welcome you to Pacific Comprehensive College. We are located in Akowonjo, away from the hustle and bustle of the city of Lagos. The serene environment creates conducive environment for serious academic activities. Every child that passed through our school curriculum never remained the same. For me, every child is important and has something to offer. The working relationship among the staff and students creates a sense of genuine community in which every student is known, supported and encouraged.
I am long convinced that students learn effectively when they are happy and well catered for. The individual differences in children are one of our strongest management tools toward ensuring that the children are happy and comfortable without discipline being mortgaged. At twenty years of age the school has established systems and traditions that produce results.
I ensure the school curriculum is implemented to the letter on daily basis and this has always resulted in a resounding success in public examinations. In the May/June 2012 WASSCE 42 out of 74 students made five distinctions including Mathematics and English Language, while in the May/June 2013 WASSCE 27 out of 71 students had five distinctions including Mathematics and English Language. Why I am proud to publish our result is that I prevent all forms of exam malpractice in our school. The rate of admission of our students into higher schools especially the Federal Universities after the WAEC and NECO results have been released is close to 92%. I believe there is no short cut to success and that through hard work students are guided to unlock their potentials.
Our curriculum lays emphasis on core academics, moral uprightness, Godliness, character education, Financial literacy and learning to learn skills. It helps students to build confidence, integrity, courage, determination and self-discipline which in turn prepare our students adequately to be useful and successful members of the society.
My supervision of class instructions puts teachers on their toes. They make deliberate effort to ensure class instructions are interactive and that both the slow and the fast learners are carried along. Teachers devote extra time to teach the slow learners. The scheme of work taught is ticked out from week to week to ensure it is completed within the term. Our curriculum is usually enriched with the British curriculum to broaden the scope of our students.
Our teachers are passionate about their job and they are ICT literate. The ICT based teaching fast tracks coverage of the scheme of work and makes learning fun. The ICT based teaching has helped to implement the policy of “No child left behind” of the school which is already yielding results.
Over time our students begin to cultivate the spirit of respect, integrity, humility, patriotism, justice and best practices as a result of the value added curriculum of the school.
It is my resolve that the school will always serve you better than the previous year, as we strive to produce global students.

Welcome to Pacific Academy, Akure, a citadel of learning where strong academic tradition, intergrity and moral value form the basis of our existence and operation. The academy aims at producing men and women of excellent academic foundation who will be globally competitive.
Our focus is to raise a generation of students who will emerge outstanding leaders, confident and responsible global citizens using a curriculum that strikes a balance between academic and co-curricular activities.
Pacific Academys a response to the yearnings and aspirations of millions of Nigerians especially in Ondo State and other neighbouring states craving for a school where children can receive robust and well-rounded training. It is thus our belief in an education that promotes self confidence and brings out the ultimate best in every individual that has brought us to where we are today.
With our unique approach of No Child Left Behind (NCLB), learning becomes student-centred. Ours is a system where every single student counts. We give priority to learning differences in each student so that every child can realize his full potentials.
As the school head, I have no doubt in my mind that my years of experience both in the classroom and as an administrator in the industry, coupled with series of training both within and outside the shores of Nigeria, I can assure you that I will bring, to the fore, my accumulated experiences and work cohesively with the entire staff body to deliver the objectives of the school.
Welcome to the Pre-School and primary section of Pacific School. This section was established in September of 2007.
In the pre-school, the children aged 18 months to 5 years learn by organised play and child initiated sctivities that encourage exploration and self expression.
Our aim in these early years is to develope confident and happy children who are eager to learn and play.
Basic numeracy and literacy is taught at this stage. In each of the classes, we use age appropirate activities and learning tools to creat a flexible environment to meet the needs and interests of every child in our care. In the pre-school years, the children are nutured and prepared for the years ahead.
At the lower primary stage (age 5 – 7), core arts and science subjects are introduced while literacy and numeracy is further developed through activities and practical involvement. Subject teaching begins at this stage where every teacher teaches his/her subject of speciality in each class.
At the upper primary level (age 8 -11), we continue with the core subjects taught at the lower primary. We also do subject teaching to ensure that the children are given the best. The children are made to LEARN, THINK and CREATE through the multi-sensory learning system. The children are equiped for the chalenges ahead of them as they are taught speed mathematics, critical reading and writing skills. They are exposed to many sporting events including swimming.
Come onboard and let your child or children have a fun filled learning experience.
